SEA SONS PRESS is an independent publishing house based in Leipzig, Germany. Our story has started in Kyoto in 2017, when we bought a clapped-out Risograph printer. Since 2021, we moved to Leipzig and create art books, ceramics, zines, paper toys and so on.
The name "SEA SONS" (children of the sea) came from a word play that split "SEASONS" into two words. With a little discovery, images and landscapes change dramatically, and the story spreads out like the ocean. We aim to create products in which a chain of "words and images" opens the door to a world of various color.

SEA SONS PRESSは、ドイツ・ライプツィヒを拠点とする出版レーベルです。 リソグラフを使ったアートブックや陶器の本、雑誌、紙のおもちゃなど、オルタナティブなアプローチで本作りを行っています。
SEA SONS（海の子供たち）という名前は、SEASONS（四季）を2つの単語に分けた言葉遊びから生まれました。ちょっとした発見で、イメージや風景が大きく変わり、海のように物語が広がっていく。そんな本作りを目指しています。

Makoto Okajima｜Editor
After studying aesthetics and contemporary art theory in Kyōto (B.A.) and Kōbe (M.A.), she works as an editor and researcher in the artistic and cultural fields. She is currently studying in the master course "Culture of Curatorial" at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig, while contributing to various magazines and web media, such as Doitsu News Digest, ELEMINIST, KANSAI ART BEAT.
岡島真琴｜編集者
大学時代に美学および現代アートを学ぶ。その後は編集者、ライター、リサーチャーとして、展覧会や演劇・パフォーマンス、ワークショップの制作、出版などに従事。現在はライプツィヒ版画・製本芸術大学マスターコース「Cultur of Curatorial」に在籍するかたわら、さまざまな誌面・ウェブ媒体での編集を手掛けている。
Asuka Okajima｜Illustrator
Illustrator and graphic designer. After graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts, he began creating pieces in Prague, Kyoto and Leipzig. He cultivates ideas from various cultures as he moves from one place to another, including Japanese traditional culture, European art and graffiti, Czech picture books, and music from around the world.
岡島飛鳥｜イラストレーター
東京藝術大学を卒業後、2019年に渡独。日本、チェコ、ドイツの様々な都市を行き来するなかで多様な文化を呼吸し、アイデアを培う。SEA SONS PRESSではイラストレーションをはじめグラフィックデザイン、印刷、プロダクトや什器制作など、アイデアを形にする全般を担当。www.asukaokajima.com
